City Center
Kathmandu City Center was developed as the city’s first integrated mall, bringing together retail, entertainment and a multiplex into a single destination. The project addressed complex ownership requirements, with two separate organisations sharing the development.
Planning for Unity Today and Separation Tomorrow
The building mass was pushed to the edges to create a central open circulation spine, which acts as the primary public space of the mall. Vertical circulation systems were divided to allow future operational separation between the two ownership entities, ensuring long-term flexibility without compromising the present-day visitor experience.
