The Amanora intervention focused on reimagining the food court as a destination within the mall, rather than a purely functional zone. The design leveraged an existing skylight to transform the space into an immersive environment that enhances dwell time and visitor experience.
An Indoor Landscape Concept for Public Dining
The skylight was opened up and treated as a central feature, around which a forest-inspired concept was developed. Structural elements were articulated to resemble tree forms, creating the feeling of dining within a garden-like environment. Material choices and surface treatments reinforced this experiential quality, turning the food court into a social and visual anchor within the mall.
